Women should not be allowed in the military.

Women should be able to join the military. They are wanting to serve their country, they are just as good as men.

Women should serve the military not just because it is just a man's job but help with numbers in the army, and the skills two. If women were to serve the military there would be more people offering to join than forced when a war started. Why wouldn't we want that?

Women who serve the military are just as good as the men are. They serve their country the same way and train the same way. Just because of the gender of the person doesn't mean they still can't serve their country like the other gender.

National parks are not taking up valuable real estate space and should not be destroyed for it. National parks are home to many kinds of wildlife, a great place for people to see things they haven't seen before, and national parks are way nicer to look at than houses.

National parks are homes for many birds, mammals and insects, if you were to take away their home, by cutting down trees and filling up ponds, where would they go? For example, if you were going to destroy the trees to make houses, you would be cutting down squirrels and birds houses down. If you were to destroy a small lake or pond, you would be taking away frogs homes, and at least fifteen different types of fishes too.

People from all over the world come to see the national parks of different countries, would you want to take that experience away from them? People could learn about the types of birds and trees around, teaching others and making it a more popular place for people to come from other counties, or from other parts of town.

Not only do National parks have a wild range of species and have people come from other counties to see, but it looks way better than housing. Wouldnt you rather have a walk in the wilderness than down a busy street with cars and pollution.

Dangerous sport should be banned

Dangerous sport should be banned because of a number of deaths it has caused. From skydiving to car racing.

As easy as it is to jump out of the plane, there might be some difficulty trying to open the person's parachute, they jump without a parachute, or ram into a tree and get stabbed and die.

Car racing looks like fun and seems like an easy sport. But what happens when you hit a corner too hard or smash into another consistent. Many people have been in car crashes and died, why play such as risky sport.

There are so much more sports and scenarios that could happen with multiple risky sports.

Adrenaline can cause twice as much drama and death as it is what daredevils live on. Jumping from a roof 30 stories high. Jumping a fire hoop on a motorbike.

We should not keep this up, but sign ourselves up for more safer sports. To keep them safe and for more fun without worrying about the consequences. Stop worrying, and play safe sports.

What are the earth's layers, what are they called?

  • The cocoa represents the earth's crust. -Plate tectonics etc.
  • The cracks represent the earths plates moving and forming new continents/ volcanoes.
  • When the cocoa starts to more they form little islands like the world’s continents.

  • This all happened because of the milo Underneath the crust, which in the real world would be magma. The magma forms new land by expanding the earth's crust therefore making the earth's surface move, crack etc. The milk started to move because of Convection.
  • Convection: This happens because when water is heated the cold water sinks to the bottom because the particles are closer together, and dont move much. The hot water rises because the hot water particles are moving fast and are all spread apart, Making the water move, therefore making currents. Making what ever on top move!!

I like this experiment because it showed us how tectonic plates move and what happened around that. Marshmallows weren't needed but made it more fun and interesting!! Next time i would try drinking chocolate as it is finer and may work a bit better. Some Things that were different with the youtube clip and our experiment was that our milo (crust) did not crack as much, and our milk didn't bubble. We just added the marshmallows for fun!

English Assessment - The Risk Of The Day

The soft salty breeze, blowing through my knotted hair. The velvet, soft waves hitting the rocks. The toxic smell of sunscreen and orange fill my nostrils. As the waves overlap each other, I see white foam forming across the sharp jagged rocks closer to the cliff, where I stand is a challenge, and let alone a risk. I was at the edge of cable bay. And the tide was coming.

As the rocks loosened their grip underneath my feet, the closer I get to the water, I quickly jump to the next rock, almost like a game of hopscotch. Looking for a path back to the now far away beach, where the rest of my family were signaling me over for lunch. I had been looking for crabs and kina, on the way looking for these small creatures I had found myself here. I had a choice to jump into the dark cold water, or put myself in more of a risk, by finding my way back that is almost completely under water. The seagulls screeching and squawking above my head, scavenging for food only make it more death defying.

The more I thought about it, the worse the thoughts. One thought was that of a sting ray would come a sting me, as we had just seen one before I had come out here. I have to admit I was pretty scared, and I wasn't even in the water. I was afraid that it might be too deep and that i'll drown, or to shallow and that I'll fall on to deadly sharp rocks that could be underneath me. I couldn't see a thing, it was pitch black, for all I could know it looked like an endless void out of some sci fi movie.

I started to physically shake, like a trembling child. I close my eyes, clear my head, hold my nose and jump. As the Icey cold water hits my body, instantly numbing my body to the bone, I swear it was like swimming in a ice cube. Slowly lowering my feet, keeping a lookout for sharp rocks. Hitting the ocean floor, the soft and soothing sand calms me.

I start to make my way back to shore. So I decided to go look under the water to see if I could see anything. But unfortunately I didn't. Until I got to the rock pools. I decided that i wanted to go to the rocks pools on the way back, it would only take me an extra 2 minutes to get back to shore, but just deep enough to hold fish and crabs.

By the time we had left the bay, I had my lunch, went swimming some more. On the way back to shore from the rock pools I had counted 27 crabs and 13 fish. And even two stingrays. And how can forget those pesky seagulls, squawking above my head. I had really enjoyed my time here today, and am thankful that I did take a risk as it makes life more exciting.
